Answer
Fleet management means managing your company's vehicle fleet to optimize fleet productivity, awake safety and security, and reduce operational costs.
Fleet management includes:
Vehicle tracking. The most basic function in all fleet management systems is the vehicle tracking component, also known as the tracking device.
Mechanical diagnostics. Advanced fleet management systems can be connected to the vehicle's on board computer (also known as CANbus), and gather data. Details such as mileage, fuel consumption, and much more, are collected and can be reported.
Fleet security and control. This includes over-the-air security of your vehicles and the ability to safely disable a vehicle while in operation, also called immobilization. This allows you as fleet manager to recover stolen or rogue vehicles while reducing the chance of your lost or stolen cargo.
Driver behavior. By combining received data from the hardware and software, it is possible to form a profile for any of your drivers. With C-track fleet management, you are able to detect and to report speed violations, harsh braking, excess idling, off-route driving and driver fatigue.
Panic button for emergency cases.
Two way voice and SMS communication.
Base station software. Fleet management software enables you to accomplish a series of specific tasks in the management of any or all aspects relating to your companies' fleet of vehicles, one of them is reporting. With the C-track base station software you can create and export more than 20 different reports.
Addition of several sensors. Sensors can be added to the configuration in order to detect and monitor. Samples are fatigue detection sensor, cargo door sensor, temperature sensor, drum rotation sensor, fuel flap- or fuel level sensor, seat belt- and hand brake sensors. C-track works with all these sensors.
